General Manager Position Opening
The GM answers to the Producing Artistic Director.
•The GM is responsible for hiring/firing administrative personnel, including the bookkeeper, marketing director, and any part time administrative workers;
•Is responsible for all office purchases and leases used in administering the company and for establishing and maintaining office procedures and protocols;
•The GM is responsible for establishing procedures and protocols for and maintaining all financial records, including insurance, taxes, unemployment, workman’s comp, audit preparation, mailing lists currently stored on Filemaker, educational income/expense, etc;
•Assist the PAD in evolving annual budgets, oversee all financial matters regarding the company, and working with the Board Treasurer in preparing financial reports for all Board meetings, using the bookkeeping and accounting software QuickBooks or whichever is in use by the company;
•The GM is responsible for writing or assisting in the writing of all grants applications and in maintaining those grants requiring post-reporting correspondence;
•The GM is, in part, responsible for assisting in the marketing plans and schedules of the company;
•The GM may be required to step outside the abovementioned job description to help the company as needed from time-to-time.
