A Little More Than You Wanted to Spend

The Story

August 7 – 9, 2008

What happens when a man loses his identity as a dad and husband over night? A Little More Than You Wanted to Spend addresses the big issues in all of our lives; loss, grief, hope, and the journey of the spirit. Based on a real life experience, A Little More Than You Wanted to Spend is a one man tour de force of theatre that harkens back to the work of Spalding Grey. This hour of theatre will keep you on the edge of your seat with laughter, joy, tears and hope. It is a compelling story that captures the essence of what it means to be fully alive in the face of the worst tragedy that any of us can imagine. Chris Clavelli, writer, performer, has worked all over the country as an actor and a director. His work has been seen Off Broadway, The Actors Theatre of Louisville, Florida Stage, The Philadelphia Theatre Company, The Alabama Shakespeare Festival and at Off Square as both an actor, The Fourth Nail and the director of last year's sensational Stones in His Pockets. He is The Associate Artistic Director at The Florida Repertory Theatre and is the recipient of both The Carbonell Award for Best Actor and The Barrymore Award.
