Off Square Theatre premieres Broadway-bound swing musical at new Center for the Arts Jackson, Wyoming – Jackson Hole's gone culture crazy as Off Square Theatre Company performs the regional premiere of Broadway-bound musical "Crazy Love" in the Teton Valley's new $35 million Center for the Arts. Fred and Ginger have nothing on Wyoming's only year-round, professional theater's performers as they pay homage to the golden age of MGM movie musicals. The 18-member cast struts, shimmies and sings its way through its new state-of-the-art Center for the Arts theater space June 21 – July 29, 2007, in the zany swing musical set in 1946 – and co-written by Off Square Theatre's Producing Artistic Director John R. Briggs. "Crazy Love" features a dazzling set, spectacular choreography and hilarious characters, including Broadway producer Johnny Pride and star-struck "Vanity" Vanidad. Prior to its Jackson production, "Crazy Love" toured with successful stints in Atlanta, Miami, and Toronto. Off Square Theatre is the resident company at the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts. Its new 500-seat performance pavilion opens in March 2007 built with specifications to rival professional theaters across the country. Uniquely Jackson, however, the performance hall lobby boasts spectacular views of Snow King Mountain. Crazy Love runs June 21 – July 29, 2007, with evening performances at 7 p.m., Saturday matinee at 2 p.m., and Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. Single ticket prices start at $31.00 and six subscription packages are available. The Off Square Theatre Company was founded in 1998. For additional information, contact Emy diGrappa at 307.733.3021 or visit www.offsquare.org. |
