Be Here Now: "The Harold"
Long form improv is more of a performance art than a comedic platform, and "The Harold" is one of its most delectable examples. Students will work as a team and focus on the emotional dynamics of this type of stage performance. They will tap into the built-up tension within scenes rather than aiming for a laugh, thereby effortlessly finding humor in any human interaction. The Harold is improv of the heart and gut, and all students must be comfortable with movement and have a willingness to do just about anything! Character creation, scene support, energy levels and learning how to live in the now will all be covered. This class will culminate in a performance. Maximum 12 students, ages 18+. No previous improv experience necessary. Class culminates in an informal performance for family and friends.
