Theatre Education expands the imagination and encourages students to think, questionand inquire about their world. Off Square's Education Program provides asupportive and challenging environment for children and adults to play, exploreand create. Scholarships available for all programs. Below are listed programs that we offer throughout the year at various times!!
“THE CREATIVE ADVENTURE” –Ages 6-7
Learn the basics of play-making and storytelling! Children will develop listening skills, teamwork and confidence while exploring movement and vocal technique in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The class culminates in an informal performance for family and friends.
“REAL CHARACTERS” – Ages 8-10
Students create and explore exciting characters by tapping into emotion and learning to experiment with voice and movement. Through role-playing and creative problem solving, young actors delve into what it means to "play a part". The class culminates in an informal performance for family and friends.
“JUNIOR PLAYERS” – Ages 11-14
Budding theatre artists will engage in creative interpretation, improvisation, vocal technique, and movement for stage. Scene work and character development are explored as students learn to "match the action to the word, the word to the action". The class culminates in an informal performance for family and friends.
“OFFSQUARE PLAYERS” – Ages 12-18 (by audition only)
OffSquare Players (OSP) is a youth conservatory program, aimed at honing the talent of the serious theatre student. Through weekly workshops and Master Classes lead by theatre professionals, this company of young actors will be exposed to a variety of mediums designed to expand their repertoire and interests. Preparing for the Professional Audition, Extended Physical Character, dialect work, film editing, Improv, Movement for Stage,Voice and Speech, Script Analysis, and Scene Study arejust some of the workshops planned for the OSP students in for 2010-2011 school year.
OSP Mission Statement: “To provide our youth with authentic theatrical experiences of self expression in a conservatory atmosphere while nurturing an appreciation for theatre arts in our community.” Three easy ways to register:

All Checks should be made payable to Off Square Theatre. Cancellation Policy: A 90% refund is given to those who withdraw two weeks prior to first day of class. All Camps are taught by qualified professional Instructors.
