Improvisation for Adults with Josh Griffith

Improvisation for Adults with Josh Griffith
Thursdays, May 11-June 8
6:30-8:00 pm
Black Box Theater

Get ready to say “Yes and” to improv! Learn the “rules” of improv and use these building blocks to tap into your playfulness and creativity. During weekly sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of scene work while developing humorous characters. Together we’ll build a safe, encouraging and collaborative atmosphere for risk-taking. We’ll emphasize being present, listening and co-creating. Oh yeah, and it’s fun. “It’s way better than therapy,” says Josh’s wife.

Josh Griffith majored in theatre, film, and television at the University of Colorado at Denver and was recruited by some college friends to join them on the improv stage. You may recognize him from Off Square Theatre Company productions such as The Cherry Orchard and Taming of the Shrew, and he was a co-writer and director for the I Can Ski Forever shows. He has been regularly performing with the Laff Staff improv troupe to sell-out crowds. He has since taught improv comedy to a variety of age groups. When not on the stage, Josh disappears into the backcountry with his snowboard.
