Television icon Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) (Lou Grant), stars in this one-man show that takes us through FDR's White House years, including the Great Depression, the steps leading up to WWII and the war years. We see and hear his fireside chats, his controversial selection of the Supreme Court, his personal life with Eleanor and his discreet but definite affair with Lucy Mercer, his courage to break the Neutrality Act, the Pearl Harbor controversy and more - all of which led to his being the first man in history to be elected to four terms as president.
